Bylaws
Move to insert Bylaws (p 4) ARTICLE VI Section 5.D. (Title) after Editor, Webmaster, Professional Development Coordinator and strike and after Assistant and insert in D.1. after editor, webmaster, and professional development coordinator. and strike and after assistant If approved will read, Treasurer, Executive Assistant, Editor, Webmaster, Professional Development Coordinator and D.1. The treasurer, executive assistant, editor, webmaster, and professional development coordinator shall be recommended by the Personnel Committee and approved by vote of the Executive Board. 4/26
Move to strike Bylaws (p.8) ARTICLE IX Section 3.A.8. or after assistant, and insert webmaster, or professional development coordinator. and (second sentence) strike treasurer, executive assistant, and editor and insert positions If approved will read, (8) The Personnel Committee shall screen applicants and recommend candidates, with their qualifications, to the Executive Board whenever a vacancy occurs in a position of treasurer, executive assistant, editor, webmaster, or professional development coordinator. The committee shall study matters related to the positions; review their duties and responsibilities biennially; and make recommendations to the Executive Board.

Move to strike Standing Rules (p 3g) Article 1 Section 1.31 H.5. The first term of service for a new executive assistant or a new editor shall be for a term of one (1) year. Subsequent terms of service shall be for one (1), two (2), or three
(3) years based upon the recommendation of the Personnel Committee. The terms of service and stipends for the executive assistant and the editor shall be approved by the Executive Board upon recommendations from the Personnel Committee after consultation with the Finance Committee. Performance appraisals of the executive assistant and the editor shall take place in the last year of term of service prior to the convention or earlier if deemed necessary by the state president. Rationale for all motions listed: ILSO now has one salaried personnel and 4 stipend personnel due to changes that have been made previously. The proposed changes would include all positions receiving compensation from the ILSO budget to be a part of the Personnel Handbook. Currently the positions of Executive Assistant and Editor have become stipend personnel, and they are in the purview of the Personnel Committee. The above changes would add the webmaster and professional development coordinator to the same purview.
